This painting started it all — my Floral Collection. This vase, from a dear friend, sat in my kitchen window with these daffodils and I was struck by how the light from outside illuminated both the vase and the blooms. I accidentally moved the camera as I got ready to take a photo of them and I loved the play of light and movement I captured. As I got into the painting, and really started layering in color, it ignited something in me that made me want to keep going and paint more flowers.
 
This original one of a kind pastel painting ships mounted on foamcore and wrapped in tracing paper to protect the pastel drawing.
