The Yin and Yang of Produce

As we begin to move into the holiday seasons I am aware that most of the farmer's markets near me are getting ready to close for the year. I will certainly miss them. There is just something so wonderful about their lively atmosphere as people stroll between the booths chatting and the smells of fresh produce and flowers fill the air. Everything seems to look more appetizing in natural light. I took these two photos last weekend with my iPhone. I loved how perfect opposites looked together:

Black and white eggplants

Red and green peppers

If only opposites could get along so nicely everywhere else.

  1. I enjoyed this post a lot, from the fresh smells, the crisp colors in the pictures and the message at the end about getting along together. Excellent!

  2. Great pictures. I just love farmers markets. I am always sad to see them close down for the winter as well.

Never heard of pumpkin bowling. Looks like fun.

  3. I love the Farmer's Market. I always go crazy with my camera when I'm there. There's always so much color! Your iPhone pics came out great. I just got a few iPhone apps that I've started playing around with. I want to start using my iPhone more for pictures when I'm out and about. Your giving me some inspiration!

  4. Tricia - thanks so much for stopping by a happy heart blog! Thanks for your comments and support too! I love farmer's markets. In Montreal they have large out door markets that are a lot of fun. I haven't been able to enjoy it this summer though! Take care and thanks again :)

  5. Beautiful pics!
It's so true...opposites should get along more and appreciate the differences of each other, as it really makes their own qualities shine through.

  6. Mmmm. Eggplant! What beautiful produce.

And an iPhone, huh? I'm surprised!

Thanks for the messages—I read every one.
